Guests rave about the hotel's unbeatable location, ski-in/ski-out access, and strong service, particularly from front desk and valet staff. However, many recent reviews describe severe cleanliness issues, with complaints about odd smells, dirty carpets, malfunctioning HVAC, and outdated amenities that are poorly maintained.
DO NOT STAY HERE. Horrible old smelly hotel, hvac make strange sounds all nice and couldn’t hold a temperature. Zero staff, never had housekeeping coming in 4 days even when they said they would. Carpets are sticky and smell. Zero dining options most hours of the day except lunch. Room service is gross. So unbelievably overpriced. Hotel is falling apart. The location is great, people are nice, but it is NOT worth staying in a disgusting dungeon. Save yourself and your family from this terrible experience.
Location was great. And that's the only positive about this hotel. They gave us wrong smaller room, refused to acknowledge their mistake, finally refunded a small amount but that too on a wrong credit card. The hotel's system is so lacking in privacy and data protection that they somehow managed to add wrong credit card for our room, and checked us out before we were ready. And then proceeded to blame us for giving them wrong credit card for refund. All these glitches and human errors are bad but as a customer, I am willing to ignore these if I am treated with basic decency and respect. The staff and manager specifically were rude and completely refused to accept their fault and the way they talked to us means that they all are trained in pure capitalism and no hospitality. Since we had already paid for the rooms, they had no incentive left it seems. I would not be returning here as a customer.
Awful Hospitality Very bad hospitality. Gave us wrong room. When mentioned about it, the staff did not accept their mistake and was very rude to talk to. They also put the wrong card on file and once again when mentioned about it, the staff is unwilling to accept their mistakes. Talked to us in a very rude way.
Beds uncomfortable. Snow plows in the back start at 430 am. They plow the lot every 30 minutes . Dont expect to sleep late in that part of the hotel. Hotel restaurants very average. But room service meals are about same price and excellent. Kitchens fully stocked . Better off buying food and cooking in. Breakfast is about $40 for coffee 2 muffins and sandwich. Walk on slopes and close to skiing .
Our two bedroom residence was very roomy and easily slept 10 people. Service was great! We went during the holidays and it was beautifully decorated inside and out. The finishings are somewhat dated but was well kept and still felt like a rustic and high end lodge.
Insanely nice large rooms great for big families, super great staff who are very kind and helpful, and unbelievable access to ski in and out of canyons!
Accommodation is reasonable for the price but unfortunately the service isn’t what I’d expect. We were essentially charged twice for taxes and fees because of a booking issue on their end and their customer service said there’s nothing that can be done. Wont be staying here again
I've never been here before, and we went for a local convention. Valet parking was included in the hotel. Sweet! I'm not sure if it was part of the package, but I'll take it. The view was amazing. The pool was not heated but warm. 3 hot tubs. The room was clean with a kitchen, fridge, dining table, and all the amenities to bring in your own groceries if needed. The overall place was clean, and the service was great. I give it 4 stars. No vent in the bathroom, or at least it didn't work. Would have liked some curtains or something similar to go with the blinds. Another reason for the 4 stars. Our room was 531. There were 3 signs for room locations. I believe it was 500-515, 516-530, and 532-545. Took us a trip down hall 3 hallways to find it. ?
I love the Grand Summit, as I'm an owner here. It's right on the ski slope with beautiful views of the mountain, through all for seasons. Rooms are clean and updated, with a rustic mountain decor style. Spacious, too. My one bedroom condo can sleep 6 and had a full kitchen. Condos beds and bedding. Great, quality pillows. Staff at the front desk and valet are great. Underground parking, with extra parking at the Cabriolet. The pool is heated and super nice. The steam room is a great recent addition. There are three spacious hot tubs. It's very nice and my only regret is that I didn't buy sooner. And I LOVE the water machine where you can fill a bottle with water, with the choice of flat or sparking water.
Always Love spending time at the grand summit hotel! Right in the heart of Canyons Village and the staff are all super friendly and accommodating. Definitely would recommend to friends or family!
